Alchemy Player Demo – Fantastic Free VST Synth

The Alchemy Player from Camel Audio, could very well be one of the best kept secrets in the audio production world.

I frequent music forums and production websites frequently, but do not find much mention of this completely free, fantastic sounding VST Instrument.

Since it has a large download size, you may wish to first hear some audio demonstrations of what the Alchemy Player sounds like for yourself. So, I’ve taken the time out to create a demo of just a selection of the 200 top quality sounds that come with this free virtual instrument.

The sounds in my alchemy player demo appear in this order:

“Dawn To a Sunless Sea”, “Hoffa Goes Saw”, “House Pike”, “Low Red Moon”, “Sequenced Square”, “Rain Lakota”, “Battlestar”, “Breakdown Boom”

There is no additional processing applied to the audio demo. This is how the instrument sounds without any manipulation. I didn’t even take time to create any intricate programming or sequencing, most of the demo is produced by pressing a single key and letting the sounds run their course.

You’ll hear a varied selection of sounds in this demo. Ranging from ambient soundscapes to arpeggiated techno sequences, and a dance riser to top it all off.

There is a degree of control offered over sounds in the Alchemy player, using X/Y pad style controllers and the modulation wheel to vary the sounds. In this demo, I didn’t go to those measures, so even the small selection of sounds that you will hear can be further altered in real time to create additional variations.

To hear it for yourself, to help decide whether its worth the download (you will find that it certainly is), hit the play button below.
